Can You Make Yourself Taller?

101 Ways to Increase Your Height - Does Exercising Work?

If you are looking ways to increase height and are still in the process of growing, there are many different things you can do to help this process along.

Your diet, of course, plays an important role in growing taller. By eating foods rich in protein, calcium, amino acids, and calories, you will give your body the energy and nutrients it needs to grow and renew itself. It will also help when you exercise to increase height.

There are many different scams out there that claim that you can exercise to increase height after your body is finished growing. Do not believe these claims, for they are simply not effective ways to increase height. There is no way to lengthen your bones, short of surgery, once they stop growing on their own.

Why is this? To understand, it’s good to know a little bit about how we grow at all. When we are first born, much of our bones consist of flexible cartilage. As we grow, much of the cartilage fuses together to form solid bone. In our teenage years, growth plates located on the ends of long bones gradually lengthen. Eventually these growth plates stop growing once we reach the end of puberty. Not even hormone treatments or vitamin supplements can make them grow again.

However, by exercising regularly while you are still young, you can speed up your growth process as well as promote healthy bones long into your life. By keeping good habits, such as a healthy diet and steady exercise, you can even prevent bone weakening diseases as well as the shrinking that occurs frequently during old age.

Another advantage of using exercise to increase height at an early age is that it releases height growth hormones, which speeds the growth process.

What are some of these exercises? Contrary to what you may think, many useful exercises that release height growth hormones do not involve stretching. Instead, focus on workout routines that focus on strengthening your muscles. Not only will this improve your overall appearance, but it will promote bone strength as your weight increases.

Living The Green Energy Home Dream

With all the advances in green energy technology, it is easier than ever to start converting your home into a green energy home. A green energy home utilizes renewable resources to provide electricity, hot water, heat and peace of mind.

There are several ways to implement your green energy home plan. The first is solar energy. In a green energy home you can install solar hot water panels which heat and store water for use and you can install solar panels, which use photovoltaic cells to convert sunlight into electricity. These systems can be pricing if purchasing them and having them installed by a professional, but there are many great resources available to build your own solar panels and solar hot water systems that can reduce the cost greatly.

If you are just building your home, a great way to make it a green energy home is to implement passive solar design during construction. This means taking advantage of south facing sides of the house for heating and cooling. By installing lots of highly efficient windows and heat retaining bricks and stone on your south facing areas, you are taking advantage of passive solar techniques to develop your green energy home.

Another addition to the green energy home would be a windmill. Windmills are used to generate electricity from the renewable resource wind. Windmills can be installed on rooftops or in yards and offer pollution free electric. Windmills can be purchased from retailers or there are a wide variety of affordable kits available for the motivated do-it-yourselfers to handle the implementation of their own green energy home plans.

If you have a stream on your property, you may also add to the efficiency of your green energy home with hydroelectric power. This is also a great pollution free option that is easy to maintain and works as long as there is water available.

The ultimate green energy home would combine all of these resources. By using wind, water and solar to generate electricity you are looking not only at huge savings and possible profits from your electricity usage, but you would truly be green as each of these options contributes little to global warming. To further combine passive solar design and solar hot water systems, you are reducing your energy needs exponentially and truly living the dream of going green.

A green energy home doesn’t require more maintenance than traditional homes. Solar technologies require little to no maintenance and wind and water turbines require only regular oiling for peak performance. There is no better time to create your green energy home and start living your dreams in green.

More Magic Basics - Illusions

Continuing with a series of tips provided by www.MagicDB.net

Before jumping into working with illusions in your magic act, beware of dangerous illusions like the types Houdini did and steer clear of them at this point in time. Those are for professional who have a lot of experience and train and practice a LOT. Those types of illusions are not something to just jump into and get started with overnight.

Thinking more along the lines of safety first, here are
some tips about working with illusions in your magic act:

a) Basic props you might find handy for illusions include a magic wand (store bought or make your own), some brightly colored silk handkerchiefs, a coat or cape - or both - with many pockets.

b) Work your way up to hard illusions by starting with easy ones and mastering them. Then move on up to intermediate tricks, then advanced. And seek help form a mentor or coach in the magic industry for help as needed.

c) When you find illusions that work well for you, try to center your performance around the same props if possible. That way you don't have a table full of props on stage, taking eyes off you in anticipation of how you'll use the assorted tools.

d) Pick up books, articles, ebooks, workbooks and more with assorted magic tricks and illusions so that you can learn more of your craft. As you learn and add to the tricks, write up your own materials for other magicians, too.

And voila - you have more info for your magic toolbox!!! nd believe it or not, there are still many more things to take into account with magic tricks... So hang in there (not literally, of course!) and stay tuned for your next lesson where you'll learn more about beginning and harder tricks...

More Basic Magic Tips - It's All in the Act

Continuing with a series of tips provided by www.MagicDB.net

There are several factors to consider when you put together
your magic act. Here are some of the more important focal points:

a) Theme - you may need a theme like a holiday or birthday for your act. So look for tricks, props, decorations for your act that match up accordingly.

b) Character and Wardrobe - Choose something for your stage presence and make it flattering for you, easy to work in and something you can accessorize over time, adding a belt, scarf, etc. for other tricks. Nothing flashy, though, like bright gold necklaces and bracelets, as you'll want people to focus on your face.

c) You can find good props, costume pieces, theme materials and more for your act at local thrift stores, second hand stores, used clothing stores, craft stores and wholesale distribution centers. Also check out flea markets, outlets and yard sales. Don't forget the Internet, either. Search Amazon.com and Ebay for good deals and wholesale lots.

d) In your opening, strive to connect with the audience. Mention praise over the holiday or other special event for your being there, mention praise about the city hosting the event. People like to cheer and be happy, so bring them on into your act with praise and hand clapping, cheers and fun right away...it's contagious. And don't be afraid to toss out small candies at the beginning and throughout to sweeten up your audience. Everyone likes free treats and acts of kindness. So share!

And voila - there you have it!!! And there are still many more things to take into account with magic tricks...
So stay tuned for your next lesson where you'll learn more about illusions and beginning tricks...
